Carpet Status Report
Thomas Radke contributed a utility "mergeCarpetIOASCII.pl". This
script merges CarpetIOASCII output from jobs that have been
interrupted by checkpointing and restarting. It eliminates duplicate
datasets, which may be present.
Thomas Radke improved the utility "hdf5toascii_slicer" in several
ways. It is now possible to select individual time steps, it allows
1D line extraction from 3D data, and integer datasets are now
supported. It is also possible to select datasets with names
matching a certain regular expression.
Luca Baiotti and Jonathan Thornburg documented the scheduling
mechanism for Carpet, describing how and when scheduled items are
scheduled when mesh refinement is used. This is now part of the
Carpet arrangement documentation.
The CarpetLib timers were improved; they now also keep track of the
number of bytes that are transmitted between processors.
