[Carpet] error message

The most probably cause is there there is something else going wrong,  
but there is not a nice error message yet which catches the problem  
at a high level, so you see this internal error message instead.

In order to know what is going wrong you have to provide more  
information.  Most helpful would be a stack backtrace.  See also  
http://www.carpetcode.org/bugreporting.html.
