[Carpet] Compile error of benchmark tarballs on PG compiler

Very well,

But the only advantage of using the standard benchmark over using a 
fresh checkout is that you can factor out one source of run-time
differences.  If you modify it at all, that is lost.

So I'm using fresh checkouts.
