We offered a CactusEinstein tutorial a few months back, and its
presentations may be useful to you. They are available online at
<http://wiki.cct.lsu.edu/numrel/space/Events/CactusEinstein_2006/
Schedule>. Look especially at the talks "Mesh Refinement
Introduction" and "Switching from unigrid to mesh refinement".
The tutorial came with a pre-packages version of Cactus and Carpet,
which is available at <http://wiki.cct.lsu.edu/numrel/space/Events/
CactusEinstein_2006/Software>. I suggest to use the tarball on this
page rather than the stable versions of Cactus and Carpet. The
development versions of Cactus and Carpet work also fine. This
tarball contains several example parameter files in the directory
"CARPET-EXAMPLES". In the order of switching from unigrid to mesh
refinement, these parameter files are
wavetoy.par
wavetoy-carpet.par
wavetoy-carpet-elegant.par
wavetoy-carpet-elegant-refined.par
The first is a standard unigrid parameter file, the last solves the
same problem with mesh refinement.
