Yes, that happens easily.  You can use

darcs record -l ("look for adds")

Try also

mkdir -p ~/.darcs
echo 'ALL look-for-adds' >> ~/.darcs/defaults

(untested).  See the section "Configuring darcs" in the darcs manual.
