A slow month.

The development branch for Carpet has been opened.  It is managed by
darcs instead of CVS.  The Carpet web page http://www.carpetcode.org/
contains detailed instructions.

We continue to find and correct small errors in the stable version of
Carpet.  Special thanks go to Christian Ott.

We also work on making it build on more architectures and with
more compilers.  Special thanks go to Steve White.
